The optional Lead Generation module has proven results in generating a continual stream of high-quality leads for Member-get-Member campaigns. There is a built-in process manager in the cockpit to manage leads through to joining.

If you already use a different system to manage Leads, you probably want to get the Leads from the app into that system. The Lead Generation Web Hook is the way to do this. Once set up, every new lead will automatically appear in your external lead management system so you can track all you leads in one place.

Principle

  • The Webhook allows you to set up a web URL that will be called by the app cockpit every time a new lead is generated in the app.

  • The details of the lead and referrer will be posted to the URL you've set up in the cockpit

  • You or your sales team will be able to manage the lead in your external lead management system

Note that you may need to have a member of your tech team or CRM support team configure your CRM and/or write some web code to process the lead and referrer details to get them into your CRM.

To set-up the Event Webhook

1. Select Event Webhook from the Lead Generation Settings drop-down:

2. Read the instructions and turn it ON

3. Confirm you understand the GDPR implications and have the authority to pass the personal information of the Lead and the Referral to the external system.

4. Enter the URL of your CRM system's import area which you have configured to process this request. You can click the Test button to make a test call which allows you to debug the import on your CRM. The Show Sample button shows the JSON format of the data that is passed (below).

5. Test in the app. We'd strongly recommend you next do a full-loop test:

  • In the app, sending a Referral to a colleague or a second phone you control

  • You or your colleague should then follow the Lead journey and enter the Lead details on the phone

  • Check in the cockpit that the Lead has been generated

  • Check in your CRM that the Lead and Referrer details have been passed correctly to your CRM
