Marketing Automation's segmentation feature puts you in control of exactly who hears from you — no more one-size-fits-all blasts.
Slice your audience by behaviour and send the right message to the right people, every time:
Active users — anyone who's downloaded and opened the app within a time frame you choose.
Logged in users — everyone who's logged into the app across your account or selected clubs.
Active logged in users — your most engaged members: logged in and active within your chosen window.
Active non-logged in users — people using the app without logging in, still opened within your time frame.
While these users can receive messages if they meet the activity criteria, it is not possible to confirm receipt for a specific individual due to their anonymity. Additionally, their usage cannot be retroactively linked to a logged-in account.
If a user was not logged in before a message was sent and had no prior active usage within the configured timeframe, the message will not appear under their account when they log in later. This highlights the importance of prior engagement to ensure message visibility.
Pick your segment, and the rest of the Marketing Automation flow carries on exactly as normal.
Best Practices for Effective Messaging
Encourage users to log in and engage with the app regularly.
Clearly define your audience criteria, such as "active users in the last [X] months," to align with your communication goals.
Account for the limitations of targeting anonymous users when planning your messaging strategy.
